How we package a raw card
Each layer adds a different type of protection before the parcel leaves our authentication hub.
Step 1:Penny sleeve & toploader
We check that each card is housed in a clean sleeve and sturdy toploader, replacing either if needed.
Step 2:Heat-sealed protective pouch
The sleeved card is sealed inside a protective pouch, creating an additional barrier against moisture and surface contact.
Step 3:Two rigid paperboard sheets
The card is secured between two firm paperboard sheets to help prevent bending during transit.
Step 4:Bubble pouch & Tierdrop box
The protected card is cushioned in a bubble pouch and secured inside our custom Tierdrop box to minimise movement and absorb impact.
Step 5:Padded bubble mailer
The boxed card is enclosed in a padded mailer, sealed and prepared for tracked delivery.
Why we use several layers
Our packaging process uses a carefully considered series of protective layers, with each element selected to help safeguard the card throughout transit. From the initial protection around the card through to the outer packaging, every layer is designed to reduce movement, minimise exposure to potential damage, and help preserve the card’s condition from dispatch through to delivery.
| PROTECTION TYPE | PURPOSE |
|---|---|
| Surface protection | Helps shield the card from scratches, handling and moisture |
| Structural protection | Helps reduce bending, pressure and movement inside the parcel |
| Outer protection | Helps absorb impact and protect the parcel during delivery |
Larger quantity orders
When a listing contains multiple copies, the outer packaging may vary to suit the quantity and size of the order. Where our standard Tierdrop box is not suitable, we may use a larger unbranded box instead.
The arrangement may vary, but the same packaging standards apply. Each card or slab is sleeved appropriately, secured in place and protected against moisture, bending, movement and impact.
